About the Workshop

Start with a talk about Okinawa’s ocean and a tour of the workshop (about 30 minutes).
Choose two pieces of organic cotton in your favorite patterns. Place organic beeswax on the fabric, cover it with baking paper, and use an iron to melt the wax into the cotton.
Once the wax has spread throughout the fabric, add a few drops of organic coconut oil. Cover it with baking paper again and iron it into the fabric (about 60 minutes).
Let it cool, then trim the edges with scissors. Beeswax’s antibacterial properties help vegetables stay fresh longer. Washable and reusable, these eco-friendly wraps are kind to both the ocean and your wallet.
